Proving her Worth: A Process Management Entrepreneur’s Journey

It is impossible to become a successful business woman. If you just nodded your head, then in all probability you will never become one. If you really aspire to become a business builder, a strong determination and an even stronger will power to face the risks and rewards of the game, are what it takes to become successful. Process management entrepreneur Sreedevi Kesavan is a living-and-breathing example of this dictum. Her company Prohub Process Management Pvt Ltd, based out of Kochi, develops and streamlines business processes to convert the management’s vision into an efficiently working system. In a no-holds-barred with HerMoneyTalks, Sreedevi offers a glimpse of her journey and a peek into her entrepreneurial mind.

Sreedevi’s opening salvo is both sedate and thought-provoking. “I have seen many wonder women around me who are well educated in managing their finances and meeting their capital requirements. But there live another set of women who don’t have any idea on how to move forward and become a leader in life.”

This is the trauma that needs to be solved through inculcation of proper knowledge and financial literacy in them.

Entrepreneurship a beautiful yet taxing process in life

The instinct of becoming an entrepreneur was seeded in Sreedevi’s mind when she was in the 7th standard. “I will never forget that day, when our principal caught my gang and fired us for establishing a lending library in our private space. I had to forcefully shut down my first venture,” chuckles Sreedevi.

This aspiring girl was soon elected as the school leader in 9th standard and began chasing her dreams soon after. She got married very early in life. Still, she pursued her post-graduation in Commerce and started exploring her options in the business sector. Perhaps, somewhere in her, a successful business woman lurked. And called out to her.

I will never forget that day, when our principal caught my gang and fired us for establishing a lending library in our private space. I had to forcefully shut down my first venture!

“Accessing funding for a startup is an intricate process altogether. Being a woman, there is greater pressure in convincing the bankers to meet our funding needs. Most women are not fully aware of the various schemes aimed at financial empowerment of women. I question how many bankers do really support such schemes.”

Realize your strength, learn continuously, re-engineer yourself

Sreedevi recounts that finding working capital for the firm was a hectic task initially. It made her think hard about the various possibilities of accessing money.

The tag of a successful business woman has always given me the tenacity to take confident financial decisions from day one!

“Rolling of money is one of the biggest financial struggles every entrepreneur goes through while establishing their identity as a business builder,” she adds. She believes gold pledging to be the safest means to get money in hard times.

“The tag of a successful business woman has always given me the tenacity to take confident financial decisions from day one,” smiles Sreedevi.

“Through continuous trial and error methods, we can definitely meet our goals,” explains Sreedevi. She feels that a stable mindset to learn from your well-wishers is the only thing that could help us in sharpening your ideas.

Business is all about having proper communication with one’s clients and associates. Being a passionate woman, Sreedevi regularly recharges herself by connecting with people.

Making yourself financially independent and efficient

“Financial independence is a must for any woman, whether she be a home maker or a successful business woman,” smiles Sreedevi. In her words, making your own money is the surest way to find your own happiness.

Women need a space of their own and can achieve it only they are financially stable. Sreedevi sets the bar high for all those women who fail to live for themselves. According to her, financial well-being is not just about making money, but also utilizing it well.
